I’ve always painted. But now I am trying to get into it a wee bit more. Here are some of my most recent works of “art” 🙂
I painted “Starry Night” (Vincent Van Gogh’s most famous painting) for My Husband, because he plays Don McLean’s song (Starry, Starry Night) just about every day. I painted this and gave it to him for Christmas 2013. Having referred to the original on my ipad, I didn’t see the entire picture and inadvertently, missed a few things and painted the buildings a wee bit larger. I was quite happy with my results though.
I painted part of my sons guitar, which he used to create quite a bit of awesome music. I tried to showcase on the position of the knobs where he had them in tune. The red background I chose because of his love for music. He really puts his heart into it! Christmas 2013.
My oldest son is really in to Dr. Who on t.v. (the modern version) so I tried my best at recreating this for him. I believe he says this is “The Tardis” The phone booth that is used for teleportation, time travel. Christmas 2013.
I named my cottage ” La Vie En Rose.” These were the first roses I painted on a piece of scrap wainscoting, and the background paint was too heavy, so I lightly wiped it back off for a somewhat weathered look to the wood.
I love Clowns, and painted this one which was meant to be put in my cottage. However, when my dear hubby saw it, he fell in love with it, and confiscated it for his office wall. I love the way the eyes turned out.
This Love birds painting I made for “us” because we are……Lovebirds!
I Painted the road that leads to my home, on a beautiful fall day. The original photo is on my home page at the bottom.
I claimed the rock from the front of the Titanic Museum in Pigeon Forge, TN. I painted it in memory of the 100th Anniversary of the sinking of the ship. My heart aches for all the lives lost and what they went through. The museum was one of the best I have ever seen.
The “grapes” rock I picked up at a Olive Garden in Mt. Juliet, TN. I painted it because it was a great meal from one of my favorite places to eat!
I painted and will continue to paint Roses, for my “La Vie En Rose” Cottage. Roses are a lot harder to paint then one would think. Hopefully I will improve as I go!
